        The conceptual business-plan of the project for complex plants for the production of basalt-fibrous ware with different purposes from nonmetallic geological material is intended for:

  • forming business and public opinions of the developing of such plants;
  • the establishment of organizations of ecologically pure production in Siberian regions; 
  • the production of different initial data (outlets for 10-12 years, prospects for the financung, etc.) and their application for the development of further suggestions aimed at the attraction of potential investors;
  • the preparation of the proposal to the government of the Russian Federation to establish efficient and profitable branch of the home industry for the production of basalt-fibrous ware.

        The suggested plants:

 1. The process description 

The technology of the production of basalt-ibrous materials (VMST, TIM and fine continuous fibre) is based on the modular principle, which allows to input facilities effectively in turns, using as a rule current working areas which are supplied with the necessary engineering equipment and power systems.

The technological process of the industrial production of the above mentioned ware can be expanded in a current production building with a height of 9 metres.

2. The market of heat-insulating and constructional materials

The problem of the use of effective enviromentally and fire safe heat-insulating materials is particularly sharp in Siberia with its severe climate. Such materails would aloows to reduce the thickness of filler structures in 2 - 3 times, to spend less time on the building and to reduce costs of the heating. 

The suggested heat-insulating ware from geological material can be applied not only in the industrial and civil engineering but can also solve the problem of the heating engineering adequacy by the modernization and capital repairs of existent buildings.

The use of basaltplastics will expand the assortment of composite materials with specific properties providing with the working capacity by high temperatures and humidity. On the basis of basaltplastics there can be produced pavement plates, pipes of the hot and cold water supply, the facing of waterside structures and others.

4. Risk assessment 

Main argument proving the success of the suggested plants are the high demand of the effective heat-insulating and basalt-plastic products, cheap natural raw materials which are almost inexhaustible, and the possibility of the creation of new working places.

Taking into account demand of the future millenium the conceptions of the energy-economy, the saving of the enviroment and the implementation of new technologies show that the production of the suggested ware is justified and advisable.

Taking into consideration market conditions the average accounting payback period of plants is 1,5 - 2 years.

5. Conclusions

1 The modular development of complex plants with minimal period of the building adjustment allows to input facilities faster and more efficiently.

2 The development of the large-scale production of the suggested materials will allow to be independent of the oreign market and to provide with economic security of the Siberia.

3 New technologies for the production of promising ware make for the development of efficient productions.

4 The establishment of the basalt plants in the Siberian region will provide with large-scale energy saving, help to solve the problems of the global climate keeping which is one of priority trend accepted in the world community of the Organisation of United Nations conferences on the enviroment and development.

  • are oriented on the output of ecologically pure, superlight, incombustible, efficient heat-insulating materials: the mineral cotton from superfine fiber (VMST) and ware on its basis (carton, plates with different hardness rate, shels for the insulation of pipelines), which are not worse than foreign analogues considering main performance attributes, and surpass them in the heat and water resistance, considering that it costs less;
  • produce the fine continuous fibre (TNV) which is intended for the production of the basalt roving, complex and twisted threads, whcih are used during the production of woven and nonwoven materials, basalt-plastic accessories;
  • are the basis for the developing of home industries which would provide with the foreign production; 
  • will be an experemental base for large-scale scientific-applied and engineering developments for the creation of new technologies for the production of heat-insulating materials (TIM), fine contiinuous fibre and comositional ware on its basis;
  • create work places.
